i believe so mine is around -9 and i can still get them

yes for sure....but with some it takes a while to get the right ones....if you have astigmatism its also harder to find the right ones for you....but I can only read the big E on the top of the chart and I only use one contact for distance and can see fine to drive, work at computer and everything else and thats with just the one contact. Good Luck and don't give up
