I'm in the midst of starting a clothing store. While it's getting set up I decided to sell on ebay just to try for some cash in the mean time. Any suggestions on how to sell items well. I only have 1 on there right now but would like to out more while waiting for my store to open. Tell me what you think.....

First of all, i think you might have to make the picture bigger and clearer. and also show more detail of the outfit. Since Ebay charge fees from the 2nd picture you upload, i suggest you can sign up for an online album, such as yahoo picture, etc. and upload pictures. You can use those URL in the HTML description so that you can show more pictures and save money.
and second, the title is too general. you might add the specific brand name to make the auction can be searched easily.

First off your picture is terrible. If you hope to get 19.95 for this you wont because you only have one photo and the picture is so bad you can't see any details of the outfit. Also you say it retails for 45.00, is this a brand name or a rip off copy cat? Add more detail to get people excited about it. Clothing is the most difficult business to do online because most people still want to "see" and "feel" or try on for size. I hope your store does well but don't expect to much off ebay if thats how your posting will look. Good luck, you'll get better.

I recently started selling on Ebay and discovered that the fees are so much that it is almost not worth the work it takes to get your items on there. If you want to save money on fees and have a really nice looking layout you should try using Auctiva. They have many different page layouts to choose from and you can have as many pictures as you want.

Hi – I sell on eBay. I profit about $3,500 a month. eBay has been my full time job for 4 years, and I have sold over 12,000 items. I sell apparel and shoes. I sell 200-250 items a month.

Please email me directly at elizabethwells815@yahoo.com if I can answer any specific questions. I can help you.

I agree that picture is terrible. Needs to be a hundred times larger and clearer.
You would get MUCH more honest and experienced advice from the eBay discussion boards than Yahoo answers...
