I've heard that they're good for hardwood floors, but I'm skeptical about that vacuum part at the front. Is there any way it can scratch the floor, or is it high enough that it doesn't touch it? I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks

Mine doesn't touch the floor. They're pretty safe, though you want to make sure to change the cloth often, if it gets to thin, it can catch/scratch.

We just refinished our floors. I use the swiffer vac all the time with no problem. The head sits high enough where it wont scratch. I swear by mine.

I've used them with no problem, but there are a lot of factors, like how clean the pad is, what your floor is sealed with, and what you call a "scratch".
