Herbal teas really aren't safe, mainly because there's no research as to the effect of those herbs on pregnancy. Do you really want to take the risk?
Do you take an afternoon nap? When you go to bed, find your comfort zone. I'm not talking physically! Find something that calms you and doesn't make you think about your kids or the new baby. I design a house. FIND that something and just do it.
Try taking a warm bath before going to bed.
Also, talk to your doctor. S/he may have some other options that work best.

Hi there, dont worry we've all been there, try something called schizandra plus, roseox and relax now. I used tem (and someother things) during both my pregnancies and they are great. They are all natural and will calm your system down without making you tired or sleepy durng the day. try www.myhealthabcmall.com and they also have some other great products to help the healthy growth of your baby during pregnancy like herbalifeline. There is a link to contact the nutritonal expert on there, just ask if you're not certain. I still sometimes use the relax now and the sleep now tablets when I get a bit stressed out and they give you such a good sleep without any side effects and drowsiness. The stuff is great and the advice is real friendly and never pushy too. Good health to you both. Jane

Herbal Teas, like those made by Celestial Seasonings are JUST FINE!!! May I recommend Sleepy Time. I am sure that when you say herbal tea, you are not asking about hemlock, which it seems other people who have answered are going with it. According to the list I got from my doctor, you can take benadryl, and even unisom. But if you have any medical problems that we are unaware of, ask your doctor before taking OTC stuff! Good Luck getting some sleep. I am 5 weeks, and I am already having a hard time sleeping.

Join the club!! I go in sleeping spurts. Sleep well for a few night and then not a wink for several. It's wearing on me, too. Last night I took a good long shower and lathered myself up with lotion before bed...just sort of pampered myself. I say it was before bed, but actually I had laid there for a while, eyes wide open and got sick of it!! So, I got in the shower and then sat up on the couch for a bit, to wind down. I always make sure my feet have lotion on them and I also have the fan on...studies show you sleep better when it's cooler in the room and you're covered up. So, I say take a shower, get comfy and cool!! Hang in there...I swear it's the body's way of preparing us for the sleepless nights to come when the baby arrives!
Good luck!!!

Chamomile is natural and likely safe, if you have questions, you can always ask your doctor.
Meditation could be good, as someone's previously mentioned. It might be worth checking out, through your doctor, if the hospital or a nice fitness center, has exercise for pregnant women. Perhaps there may be a light yoga or exercise class that could help you. I'd definitely ask the doctor first though.
Perhaps a massage could help you to relax your muscles while you focused on your breathing until you fell asleep.
Hope this helps!

Benadryl is secure for canines. i've got given it to mine. Your is a small canines, like mine, so get the youngster's chewable benadryl and wreck it into quarters(4 products). supply him a million of the quartered products approximately an hour earlier the flight. If he's very worried once you land, you grants him yet another approximately 8 hours after the 1st dose. purely to calm him down. terrific of lucked. wish I helped.

I'm guessing it's a mental issue not physical. Your probably scared, uneasy and freightned about having another child. The strain and pressure it's going to add to your life as well as your children and mate. Focus on relaxing techniques such as a warm bath, quiet soft music and what ever you do don't let fears and doubt enter your mind. Don't worry bee happy!!!

Tylenol PM is safe in pregnancy. I used it, recommended by my doc. Normally tylenol does nothing for me but Tylenol PM made me sleep but not too sleepy where I couldn't get up or felt tired during the day.

You can always put soft music on at night time and set time for half hour.. you should be relax just sit up or lie down and close your eyes and listen to music or if baby music.... I have done that before.. for naps..hehe it works... And if you have young kids around you should try to get some help with them and try to relax and maybe read book with low light and soft music... or you can always start reading to your baby.. she or he can hear you...
Hope your husband would be helping you with your other two kids.
