Prior to signing Lewis, I thought the Browns were going to get Peterson. I wonder if they got some info that either the Raiders or the Lions were definitely going to draft him, so they went with Plan B.
Now with Lewis, they can use that pick on another of their several needs. Either OT Thomas or WR Johnson would be a step in the right direction.

Not sure. The Browns have shown a lot of interest in Peterson, but that could be a smoke screen to try and entice another team to trade up to grab him.
However, the NFL is a copycat league, and you know a lot of teams looked at the Bears success alternating two rbs, and will be copying that. A Peterson/Lewis combo would be interesting to watch as properly used Peterson would allow Lewis to stay fresh, and playing behind Lewis would allow Cleveland to slowly break Peterson in instead of being forced to rely on him too soon.
So, yes, I think the Browns could still draft Peterson.
Now I would love to see them either draft Thomas (as I have been saying) or trade down and get a few extra picks. (I'd love the haul someone above suggested, but that is just not realistic unless the Browns end up trading their first round pick next year as well.)

No. By signing Lewis, they now can go after Quinn or a OL.
