The world is slowly going down. Our crime levels are rising and population levels are ski rocketing. People are using racist words more and more. Global warming is a serious problem that scientist ignored for a long time. Now its biting us in the but. The world needs a wake up call.

Crime rates have actually been decreasing steadily in the U.S. over the past few decades.
Education is relatively the same.
The information age allows us to see more hate, but the hate was there before... we just didn't know about as much of it.
More global warming... yes, the earth's climate tends to change. It could be our fault or it could just be part of it's natural cycle.
More laziness? I see honest, hard-working people all around me.
More taking things for granted is a product of wealth. So would you rather take things for granted or be poorer?
It's all how you look it at.

there is not more criminals and crime there are just more people and more reports of crime. Crime is going down actually for the most part. Less education hardly true. Used to be that only select few went to college. More hate, I disagree however there is more hatred for the u.s. because of our media circus and because of some of our military actions. More global warming is true but they think Its actually just a switching of the poles, a process that happens every couple thousand years and is natural. more laziness? hardly and americans put in more hours than any other country. no the world is not getting worse but people are finding themselves isolated and alone in a way.

The only bit here with solid evidence is global warming. You have to view media and personal experience critically, please.
I think the world needs a wake-up call, especially now that have better means to end hunger and poverty, and the awareness of our own ability to either pollute and heal the world. I actually think the world is taking a turn for the better. More people care now, more cause-oriented groups than have ever been in the last thousand years.

Higher prices for gasoline, Higher prices for housing, Higher prices at the grocery stores.
More people with bad credit, bankruptcy's, foreclosures. Corporations taking over the small businesses, Business & Companies not being true to employee's, Health care issues, and more and more people using drugs. Oh, yeah I'd have to agree. We keep going at this rate, the bubble will burst......

Sometimes it does, but if you are looking for hope there is some. Last onth I went to Sacramento for a Youth & Government conference and everyone there honestly cared about the world and had ideas and opinoins about what should be done to help it.

I have to agree. Its very disturbing. Just few days ago I read about a couple with 4 kids. Nothing out of the norm there... except they are real blood brother and sister and trying to make their country, Germany legalise incest. I do not know whats going on anymore...
