i previously asked the question as to whether I could travel out of the USA to Canada and then back to USA to begin another 90 day vwp visa ( I have inadvertently booked my return ticket to Spain for longer than 90 days ) all amswers said yes as long as I had an eventual return ticket to my home country. On reading an answer to someone else's question one of the replies said that travelling to any adjoining country ,inc. islands, to USA counted as the 90 days. ie if I spent 80 days in USA went to Canada for 10 days that would be my visa finished and not a new one for 90 days..help

thanks for the answer number 1 but I need to know whether days in bordering countries accumulate to 90 days or whether the visa starts again on re entering the USA. I know I can travel within the 90 das as long as they are couries that accept vwp.

You should be OK to go in and out of the US within the 90 day limit, and do a visa run to another country. The only question that might come up would be from immigration officers asking the last time you visited the country, what your business in the country is.. etc. Check here for details, but most countries don't put alot of control around tourists and the 90 day rules: http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/temp/without/without_1990.html

I read this in the rough guide travel book and technically speaking travelling to Canada is enough and they should give you a new 90 day period. Although this is technically what is allowed, there is a massive chance they will ask more questions etc when you come back into the US (I know that very well from experience when I used to fly back to the UK for a few days so i didn't exceed 90 days).
So yes, it should be fine as long as you have your return ticket to spain to show them (and it falls within the next 90 days).

again to again journeys to the U. S. will be regarded at for a Visa Waiver applicant. fantastically in case you flow to Canada or Mexico and then re-enter. this isn't seen a significant departure. We see human beings attempt this each and each of the time. you are able to be a valid tourist, yet such truly some human beings doing the incorrect issue have made it undesirable for others. Sorry it truly is only the way it truly is. To be on the threat-free aspect, and if it truly is in reality to commute and see united statesa., i could go back living house and are available again at a later time and proceed your travels.

If you are British apply to the US Embassy in London for a visitors visa.
You will then be able to stay in the USA for upto six months at a time.
