In social work you will find that you are actually young in your class. In most schools there are a large number of older students (30-50). So don't use that as a reason. Your conviction may limit some of the places you can work depending on the background check. But there are many jobs you can do with your conviction. Also over time you may be able to have that record expunged. I would say go for it. DA

College could be pretty beneficial. First, it would teach you to write with correct grammar so people are actually able to read your question and understand what you are trying to ask. Secondly, you're never too old to go to college, especially at 22. There were many middle aged people in my college classes. Just think about all the "dumbasses" that spend around 7 years in college. By the time they get done they are going to be 25 or 26. If you go to school at 22 and finish on time you will be done by the time you are 26 or 27. Besides, no one really cares how old you are anyways. It's nothing like high school.

Your never to old to go to college, I had a friend that was 70 years old and got her degree. I went to college at the age of 42 and before that I was 20 and 29. Don't feel like you to old to make a future for yourself. I want my daughter to go back and shes 25 and has one degree, but in order for her have a high dollar job she needs a 2 or 3 year degree in medicine. She bought a new car and now she's in debt and can't afford to go back to school, but I tried to talk her and I got no where. Please try to get your education for yourself, and no one can take that away from you.

When did you spend time in prison for the robbery?? Your time element doesn't add up.
You are never too old to go to college or any type of school. If I were you I would talk to my parole officer and secure some advice from him/her. They would know better about what kind of field you would be accepted into with your record.

You would see people from the very young to the very old in college. No one notices you. Believe me, the other students will not even know you exist.
