if anyone has read the sorrows of young werther:
i am trying to come up with symbols/pictures that would describe this book. or if you were to sum up the book or one of its major elements in a symbol what would it be?

The book is highly sentimental and Romantic (with a capital "R"). Unrequited love is easily one of its major themes. It lead to widespread suicides when it was first published. Young men started emulating Werther, whom I imagine today would be Emo.

It's not my favorite book. I cannot have sympathy for a whiner like young Werther.
