I'm trying to do a poster project for women studies and would like to add some lyrics.

Degrade women: Almost every rap song ever made, the constant talk of nothing but sexual acts and how women are whores gives a false image on the general public of attractive women.
Celebrates Women: Almost any alternative song with a female singer, I generally say this because Dixie Chicks for example, Are women, therefor know what they have feelings for and avoids being sexist.

Well I recommend "Strength of a Woman" by Shaggy. I love that song. I also like "18 Wheeler", off Pink's Misundastood album, but it was never a single. "I'm Just a Girl" by No Doubt might have some good lines, can't remember. Check various popular rap songs for the degrading songs - I'm not familiar with those.

The most popular celebration-of-women songs are "Independent Women" by Destiny's Child and "Sisters are Doing it For Themselves" by Annie Lennox. If you want a REALLY degrading song, check out "I Enjoy Being a Girl" from the musical Flower Drum Song.
