well im 3cm dilated this is my 2nd child and i lost my mucous plug im due march 12 any ideas???

no need to call the doctor. im sure the help you were looking for was a way to help you dilate and help you go into labor...i am also 3 cm dilated and due on the 22nd with my 2nd child. my 1st was induced at 42 weeks after not having dilated at all. i have read a lot of different articles on how to bring on labor....nipple stimulation is supposed to be the best method...hasnt worked for us yet..lol...so if you get a good answer please let us know- until then good luck from someone else stuck at 3cm....and waiting.

It's okay. You're not that early. I had my little girl a month early. I don't even KNOW when I lost my plug- I think it might have happened a month or so before my water broke. If/when your water breaks is the only time you need to worry about going in. Right now, just relax, stay off your feet and don't do anything too strenuous. Congrats and have fun!

I was 2 cm dialated for 2 weeks with my daughter and 4 cm dialated for close to a month with both of my sons. It will happen anytime now but dialating is not a sign that anything will happen within a few days. Congratulations!

this is my second child and im 3 cm too..but one day i was closed then 5 days later progressed to 3 cm im still 3 cm since last monday ..(1 wk) im barely losing my mucous plug for 5 to 6 days...im due march 22 but im going to be induced on friday ...for no reason well my doc is not going to be here on my due date so she said she can induce me 2 wks before my due date which is friday...ask your doctor ...

make sure your bag is packed for the hospital wait for contractions looks like the baby will be a little early not too bad. what kind of help are you looking for? you might want to tell the Dr's office you lost mucus plug if they don't know. i lost mine the day i had my son.

That's normal. Any day now. hoooray!!!! A lot of times if its your 2nd or 3rd baby you can be at 3cm for a couple of months. With my 3rd baby I was at 3cm in my seventh month and she came on time. Since its close to your due date. ANY DAY NOW! YEAH!

Don't worry! my mom had 4 daughters and each one of us decided we wanted to come out 5 weeks early! Don't worry let nature take its corse, if your really worried about it you can call the hospital, and talk to a nurse on the maturnity floor. They will be able to talk to you more about it! You could still go a couple weeks at 3cm. My girlfriend did. (3 weeks)

nothing you can do. it shouldn't be that long. definitely not a couple of weeks. i would say by the end of the weekend to early next week.
