I have this Blazer and I only get roughly 10.5 miles per gallon. It takes alot to get it up to speed. What can I do to improve my gas milege, and does anyone have idea of what a blazer should be getting. I've replaced the plugs, cap, wires, airfilter, fuel pump/sending unit/filter. I have put alot of dry gas through it and doesn't seem to be helping. I am having the y pipe replaced and would anyone agree if I should replace the convertor. I love driving it, and really want to continue driving. Please help anyway you can.

I get about 17.5 with my 2000 Blazer. Here are the stats on yours....you aren't all that far off. Have extra weight on her? Tools inside, brush guards, step bars, etc? All that will lower the gas.

1994 Chevrolet Blazer 2 Dr STD 4WD SUV Specifications
Original MSRP $21,630
Engine 5.7L 210 hp V8
Horsepower (@rpm) 210
Torque (@rpm) 300
4-Speed Automatic Overdrive Opt.
5-Speed Manual Overdrive Std.
City MPG 13
Highway MPG 16

And remember, the numbers we see, are bout 3 miles to high. So yours is more like 10-13

The 1994 Chevy blazer has a 262 ci. 4.3 V6. No blazer in the world had a 5.3 V8 in 94. For gosh sakes the 5.3 wasn't even on the drawing boards.
Most likely there's a converter, fuel injection, cam lobe, or compression issue. My 98 S-10 4 wheel drive has a 4.3 with 3.73's and gets 24 mpg on trips. The only other motor option of that time was a pukey 4 cylinder.
