I'm not judging anyone, or saying I have the answers. But I
can't see how the unborn are not still human beings. I only wonder about different views.

It is killing a person, and you should never apologize for saying that the murder of innocent human beings is wrong. It is a simple biological fact that every single abortion kills a living human being. By the time most women know they are pregnant (just 3 weeks after conception), their baby's heart is already beating. Virtually no abortions are committed before 6 weeks, at which point the baby has tiny fingers and recordable brain waves. At 8 weeks, the child is fully-formed, with all her organs functioning. She can suck her thumb, and if her palm is pricked, she will open her mouth and pull her hand away. The average age of an aborted baby in America is 10 weeks.

Every abortion involves TWO bodies, the baby’s and the mother’s. The baby has separate DNA, separate movements, and separate organs. He may even be a different sex and have a different blood type. Yes, babies in the womb are dependent on their mothers, just like babies outside the womb. Even a newborn will quickly die if left alone. That doesn’t mean anyone has the right to kill her.

Abortion is killing a baby no doubt. But you cannot force anyone to follow your religious beleives. It is a moral issue. Its upto people to abort or not. They have brains and heart if they beleive in God they wont. And look not all the people abort cuz they just went and had random sex and got it. There are girls who are 15 year old. Its not fair at all for those kids to have kids. Its their parents who should be accounted for for not taking care of those kids and for the grown ups well some might abort cuz they can't afford to raise them.

These women who goto rallies to lobby the government to make abortion a crime should also develop a fund to help these poor women raise their kids easly. If not fund just stop buying your things from China and let these poor women produce stuff.

I do think abortion is not good but dont push your point of view onto others.

I am sorry if I sounded arrogant.

I like you don't believe in abortion for me,but I do believe in freedom of choice. I can understand how a child of 15..say a victim of rape or a victim of just being poor, misunderstood, neglected, looking for love can get pregnant and not wanting to ruin her life..or cannot afford..or simply doesn't want the child can have a abortion. You cannot judge what a person does till you walk in her shoes..I do push for adoption for these unwanted children but sometimes even that is not a option.

If you believe that life begins at conception, then abortion is clearly murder at any time. If you believe that life begins at some other point, ie...when the woman can feel movement, when you can hear a heartbeat with a stethoscope, when the fetus can survive on its own outside the womb, then it is not murder to abort prior to the fetus reaching the above.

hi,
i agree with you and i to am not passing judgment. i truly believe that the moment of conception should be the moment that that child is considered a human being, the people that are give the honor of having kids should know that they have been given a gift, I also know that there are some circumstances that can come into play like rape and being to young to have a child and this is where I have my problems with abortion,

I go to a Jewish discussion class, and we talked about abortion. In Jewish views, a baby is not a life until it breathes air. I don't mean oxygen from blood, I mean the air it breathes once it comes out of the womb. An abortion is killing the baby before it comes out of the womb, to save it from a life where it would not be wanted. In a way, an abortion is taking a life to save a life. My mother used to be a social worker, and she told me about all of the people she saw that were children of families that originally did not want them or could not support them. These children had lived such unhappy lives because they were left in the womb. I'm not encouraging abortion, but don't have a baby unless you are ready for one.

I think you really already know that itis killing a person. All of the potential that person possesses is dead. I believe a fetus at the earliest stages does have all of its organs etc. They are just waiting to grow.
Just a bunch of tissue? OMG

CC got it right.
During the first trimester there's no heart, no brain activity, and in fact it's indistiguishable from almost any other mammal's fetus (unless you do a DNA test).
Like a leaf that dies when plucked from a tree, that fetus will die when removed from the support system, the mother. It is not developed enough to "live".
It's not a person; it's a potential person. Much like chicken eggs aren't chicken fetuses; they're eggs. In fact and in our minds we make the difference. But we balk when we think of human fetuses.

I think it is murder. But I wonder about someone who says it is not. If that person were pregnant and you hit their stomach and they miscarried would they charge you with killing their baby? I mean if it were a few weeks along like when they get abortions.

Until recently, a fetus was not regarded as a person by anyone. Even the Catholic Church allowed infants, even children up to age 7, to be treated as not human, as not possessing the power of reason. Since God allows/causes spontaneous abortions, who are we to say God does not allow abortions?
