Because you are ovulating. The discharge/mucus is making your uterus a welcome home for sperm. The mucus allows it to stay inside so you can conceive a baby.

A discharge (white mens) is a secretion coming either from your uterus,cervix or even vagina. The normal discharge in cervix is whitish to cheeselike and in vagina is clear and thin discharge. It's function is for protection and lubrication of the female genital tract. It became only pathologic (disease) if the color becomes abnormal like brownish, rusty, bloody and the discharge becomes profuse and frothy and smelly. Try to have consult with a Gynecologist.

it serves many important functions. for example, it flushes out bacteria and also keeps the vaginal area moisturized so it doesn't get too dry.
