It was Eisenhower and the CIA who overthrew the elected Prime Minister of Iran in 1954. http://www.globalpolicy.org/empire/history/2000/0416ciairan.htm
They replaced him with the Shah, who terrorized Iran for 25 years, culminating in the overthrow of the Shah in 1979 and his being replaced with an Islamic State.
So you should say it was Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, and Carter who lost Iran, for they all supported this behavior.

If we owned Iran, that would be wrong. We never owned Iran, that is the twisted thinking that starts wars. This sand is my sand and you cannot play in it. This is my water and you cannot ride a boat on it .
To set all records as straight as we are allowed or permitted to see....

Ike lost the country when he allowed Dulles to over throw Mossedegh in1953. the Shah was a thug no, or little better than what is there now but he was our boy. Mossedegh was elected and popular. should have left him alone, ARAMCO would have had to renegotiate it concessions and gas might have cost a bit more but in the long run....or is that too much history for you?.... you wanted a different answer? sorry that is fact. look it up

You and I can only blame ourselves for re-electing Bush. If any liberals are disappointed with him, it isn't because they voted for the other guy.
So, let's not be too quick to protect our president. He disappointed us all in the time given, not just those who are Democrat. Let's show the other side how big we are to show our dissatisfaction, so as not to look foolish for supporting a fool.

Sure, I'll concede Carter had a lot to do with this. But so did Iran-Contra and that's all on Reagan and the GOP buddy.

In general the apologists lose for us every time. When a strong person is president the terrorists back away. A weak one allows them to think they can do whatever they want and they can.
