I've never had a child and i'm 36, partly the reason i have not is im SCARED of child birth. Please explain to me in DETAIL what it's like. What changes does your body go through (is it true that u can never get ur figure back, not that i have one lol). Does "having" the baby feel like your dying? Do you regret it after the baby is born, like do u feel like uve lost ur freedom etc.....?

I did Kung Fu up until the day before my due date (9 months 3 weeks pregnant),. I am 36 and got my figure back within 6 weeks without exercise (you have to wait 6 weeks). I had a C-section, and labor didn't hurt like I thought it would. Just feels like all your muscles in your stomach come together in one central point and clench.

Everyone is different.

and my 11 month old son is the best thing to have ever happened to me. I would do it all again 100x to have him.

It's not as bad as made out on television!!!!! I had 3 children within 3 years. I didn't have any drugs, all natural. It was the greatest feeling in my life. You need to go to lamaz classes and research child birth. I got my figure back after each baby. The only thing that I thought when I had my son, who was my first, was "this is like trying to push a bowling ball through a pinhole. But if you are scared of pain and all get an epidural. You don't feel a thing. They are very safe now. But you won't regret in having your child. they are a source of great love. In good times and bad. I'm thankful each one of mine and all we have gone through, the good days and bad.

Childbirth is painful...may be the most painful that a woman will ever endure.. However, think of it this way: It if was so excruiating and people have all the trials and tribulations that you speak of....there would never be a second child introduced into the family unless it was by accident. You are being scared more of the unknown that was is necessary.

It is painful. During the last month especially, of your pregnancy, you will feel a lot of stretching & pulling of ligaments. Depending on whether or not you use medication, you will have different levels of pain during labor. You may, or may not, get stretch marks, depending on how much weight you gain. You can lose all the weight, but it is true that your proportions will be different. Your hips have been stretched-- once you do that with joints & ligaments, they will not go back to the same size.
BUT, childbirth can also be the most awe-inspiring moment of your life! I have never regretted it.

drop by my 360 page and send me your email address. I have 3 children and would love to help you with getting some answers. But I truly believe this is one of theses questions that require more room than Y/A allows to answer. I would be happy to tell you my experiences.
