im going to start doing some filler and paint work on my car this summer its a 1964 amc rambler would love some pointers like whats best for striping the paint what kinda spray gun for painting whats the best filler so on and so forth. thanx

If you have only spot repairs to do and do not want to spend much money, you can use aerosol cans with a closely matching but not perfect color. I always use bondo and use 100 grit for the most course grit to get the bulk of the paint off. Then use a couple finer grits to smooth the scratches out.
If you plan on painting a large portion of the car using a gun I strongly recommend buying a good book for learning to paint. A good book i have is automotive paint handbook by hp books. I ordered it through summit for about $25. Reading up on this subject will save you time and probably money as it is easy to ruin an entire paint job if you've never done it before.
