I so feel your anger. You are right. The sad thing is that they are also subjects of questionable circumstances. Most of these cases rely on a child's word and on eye witnesses. We all know that neither of these involved can be totally reliable as to be true. That is why I don't believe in the death penalty unless you can show me irrefutable, concrete evidence. That isn't always the case with child molesters. Also, we all have learned that child molesters never get better. They don't. They admit it themselves. Most of the ones who totally plead guilty, not out of making a plea bargain, know and have publicly admitted that they will probably go out and do it again. There is no rehabilitating them. Keeping them locked up when they kill a child is key. A life for a life. One thing that folks seem to forget, and I am not taking the side of the molester is, that if they didn't kill the child, the child can recover and they can be jailed if enough folks come forward. Children are more resilient than most adults I see who would rather throw things away than try to fix them or keep the hazardous stuff safely away from the innocents who do not know better than to go around the danger. One thing I will say is that they are locking up everyone for actions less than crime nowadays because there is money to be made in prison industries. Fact is, most of these child molesters do little s h i t that cannot add up to a life sentence and are let loose to eventually commit the ghastly crimes they do commit. Murdering of our innocents.
I want to say one more thing that may anger some but fact is, they need to always make sure they know where their small children are. Don't let them walk home from school alone. Some lazy parents need to get their asses up off the couch, interrupt their damn soap operas and go get their children from school even if they have to walk to do it. In this day and age, I am sorry, but parents need to know responsibility has shifted from, "Oh, they only have to walk a mile from school, or they are only walking or riding their bikes from school to the fact that it has become a dangerous world and my child is worth turning off the friggin soap opera and walking them home or picking them up from school. If they want to go to a friend's house, take them there yourself. That way, you know that you did everything a parent could do to keep them safe. Sorry, just my feelings. I was a ***** of a parent but my kids are alive and well today because of it.
Don't be a vigilante because not only do we lose our children, we lose you too, a loving parent to a system that just doesn't have our best interests in mind.

Many are in prison, many are free still because the victim is afraid or ashamed. Then again there is the PC effect to it all, these "people" must have endured trauma in their own life to cause them to behave so horribly. I do agree that this is one of the most horrible crimes a person can commit and the punishment like so many others does not fit the crime. We have become a society that believes EVERYONE deserves a 2nd, 3rd, 4th..etc... chance and there is good in everyone. Because of this so many people who should be in prison walk freely. People here don't care about anyone or anything unless it effects them directly. It's all about me and nobody cares what is going on outside of their little bubble.

Because the law recognizing rights of criminals more than anyone else.. they are allowed to earn money, get education, watch cable, excercise all at the cost of tax payers and those that are out are free to live there life like it never happened except having to check in. I think they should all have to where a tracking device so we know where they are at all times. Child molesters should be castrated or put in concentration camp

It is a political issue. Can you tell me why we are putting people in prison for life after petty drug offenses and cutting these monsters loose on our children? Why is our government so quiet about the sex offender catch and release program? It is time for them to become more accountable to us, "the people".
Perhaps we should request adamantly that they be released and made to live in a trailer on all of our politician's properties.
Perhaps then, the catch and release policy will change. A good example of wasting time and money is a CA politician who proposed to outlaw spanking....
Oh yeah, I can see a whole lot of kinky people going to jail!!!
This is what I call, people having too much time on their hands and being WAY out of touch with what is really going on.
Business as usual!

I think because politicians think that child molesters can be rehabilitated. When the general population know they cannot. I think that judges and politicians are so absorbed in their own little worlds of themselves they can't see the "real" world. They are so cut off from people like you and I. Their kids go to private school and have bodyguards. They have no idea what it would be like to have a convicted child molester living on "their" block.

I would guess that they have paid there debt to society. I do think it is a great thing that there are many web sites identifying child molesters.
One of the best web sites will even show the pictures of the offenders in your neighborhood that you can show your children so they know what he looks like, child molesters that is.

I hope this helps.

The basic philosophy of the criminal justice system currently is that criminals are reformed in prison. That is foolish, but -
Also, we have this idea that you "pay for your crime" or "pay your debt to society" and then all's square and off you go.
What we need, in my opinion, is a shift in that paradigm - we need to adopt the idea that "you are a menace to society" and therefore you may not live among us. Not that you made a mistake and should be punished, but that you ARE, INHERENTLY, and INCURABLY a menace and therefore must be isolated or even killed.

They are scum, but I don't think prison is the answer. To do what they do requires some serious mental help. There is some deep-rooted issue that needs to be resolved with a psychoanalyst. Prison doesn't change them, mental help might do some good. Prison will not stop them.

Our capitalist society leaders put more value on $ than life. There is no moral centre to the law as the division of church and state is necessary. Petitioning our Gov. rep. to change min/max sentences is our only recourse. until then the judges work with what they have.

Because liberals think that child molesters should have rights, including the right to be given a chance to harm another child. They always think more about the rights of the perpetrators than of the victims.
