I turn on my heater and all I hear is humming from the furnace, the same happens when I turn on my air-conditioner. I think it is my blower but I am not sure.

It is an electric furnace and the wheel thing spins fine.

the motor on the blower is seized....it could be something as simple as the capacitor from the blower motor is bad.... there should be two brown/brown and white wires going from the motor to the capacitor.... the capacitor is a silver object maybe 3 inches long by two inches wide... disconnect the leads from it and take it to a local grainger (www.grainger.com) or some other electrical supply company and have it tested.... if it tests ok then your blower motor is seized and needs to be replaced, grainger or another local electrical supply company will have both items... the humming noise is the motor not being able to turn

You need to get a tech on this one. Sorry to say. It could be anything from the starter capacitor, to the cellinoid valve.Best of luck with that
