¸.•'´¯)¸.•'´¯)¸.•'´¯)Hey I figured it out because it just happened. When it happens look under the right side. It says what the answerer has been a Top Contributor in...ie; what category...then it goes away after letting you know what they have mostly been getting best answers in. Just did it to your question...put your arrow over the answers face and another box comes up to the right to tell you about them, but you have to do it when the Top Contributor is orange and on the screen. Yeah...it is not Big Brother...teeee. Alda
The reason some get the orange box and some don't is because you have to be in the top area of ONE category...I am mostly riddles...all the rest on this question are in the tops for polls and surveys...that is why some don't have it because they answer in lots of different categories instead of one or two.

The only "top contender" i've heard about was in wrestling and nascar.
if you meant "top contributer" than its, a person who answer the most questions in a certain subject or the op.

LOL..It is contributor. It is just identifying the people who rank in the top ten in certain categories.
