I don't think you need to buy one, but rent it. Contact your major haemo unit. The Royal Melbourne Hospital has a really good home dialysis support centre that can put you in touch with the right people and get a machine and support for the person on dialysis and their career.

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.

They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!

This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.

It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.

You hemo dialysis or peritoneal? If you need dialysis, you need to be under a doctor's care. They can get the equipment you need. Please do not try to use a dialysis machine without doctor's direction.
Good luck Hon.

You could try medical supply houses, which you could find through a search engine. Or you could ask at the dialysis dept at your local hospital. I do know you can purchase them.
