iride a 400ex and my foot cant hardly fit between the shifter and the peg any rem. for this problem without buying a longer shifter

You generaly can adjust the hight of the shift lever. All you need to do is tighten or loosen the connecting screws. It's alot like adjusting the breaks on your bicycle. If this doesn't work then you should return the boots because a new shift lever will cost you about $100. Your best bet is to buy motorcycle shoes, not boots. They offer almost the same protection and you can where them for everyday use.

You do often times have to adjust the shifter to accomodate racing boots. The boots will break in soon enough also.

leave them out in the sun for a day or two. Then wear them around all day for awhile.They need to break in or you can get in serious trouble trying to shift properly.

i ran into this once with a yamaha, i smacked the **** outta it with my hammer, worked great after that.

what kind of bike? can't you adjust the height of you shift lever?
