String theory destroys the concept of a quantum universe.
A quantum universe mandates that time and space are invariant quanta and accept for a quantum effect the essence of space will not change.
String theory postulates that tiny loops vibrate continually which destroys the concept of the quantum universe.
We live in a quantum universe and it couldn't be anything else.

There is no good short answer to that question, and the long answer may not be very satisfying either.
The primary difficulty arises in visualizing and then working out the properties of 10 dimensional space. What shape would 10 dimensional space have in order to yield the properties of the physical universe through strings vibrating in 10 dimensions? Those specific shapes, referred to as Kalabi Yau shapes, have so many different mathematical variations that the incredibly complex equations of String Theory are forced to deal in very rough approximations.
Then there is the size of these 6 extra dimensions - smaller than the Planck Length, which is as good as saying we may never have anything that can see anything that small - the string dimension when compared to an atomic nucleus is like comparing an apple to a tree the size of our galaxy. Something like that, maybe.
I sure have difficulty understanding that the substance of space is strings vibrating in 10 dimensions a certain way. Those strings vibrating one way give us the photon, light, and vibrating in another way gives us an electron, a quark, a neutrino. Since all baryonic matter is made up of quarks, and quarks are strings vibrating in 10 dimensions, that is the fabric, the substance, of space. According to string theorists like Brian Greene.

The big problem with string theory is that it is probably wrong.
For sure it has become very fashionable, but it is out of touch with the rest of physics and has not a single peice of experimental evidence in support of it. Despite this, it goes ahead and makes predictions that fly counter to all of the experimental evidence that does exist.
There was a very good item on Radio 4 today about it and the concerns of many physicists that an entire generation of scientists have wasted their professional lives going down a blind alley.
So do not be too sure before you claim its easy to understand unless you also understand why it is probably wrong.

u answered the question urself in part, a theory is guilty until proven innocent. The last time i checked with a scientist, the actual date for discovering if string theory is real, (which i dont beleive because it's just too much for me) will be in about a bijillion years, so it's just a fairy tale to most people. and a lot of people wont accept things of this nature such as bible belt buckles and right wing conservatists. and the rest of the worlds intricate structure of culture they do not want disrupted by nonsense. Just go watch happy feet or something, this topic is delt with in so many movies.

The substance of space in terms of strings theory is emptiness to many but in reality it is resonantic frequencies which compound a mesh of information, in other words the structure of the universe is a matrix of information in the form of a complex network of waves which follow complicated principles but can be modified by certain types of energy such as gravity, electromagnetism, electronic and subatomic elements. The theory of strings will be substitute by the theory of the network of energy in which resonance of frequency will explain everything. You must way for me to publish my theory.

It would be relatively easy if there weren't such large multiples of workable string theories. It is difficult to understand for the non-scientific mind such multitudes of dimensions and alternates. Most people like to think of the Universe as one Universe...not 11 or more parallels etc.

Depends on who you talk to, do you have the understanding problem??? If not, how do you know that anyone else does? String theory is nothing more than resonance frequency

The problem lies herein: if space turns out
to be inert energy, that means it has no
tiny centers, or genetic frequencies to gird.
Thus, it can't be made from strings.

It not difficult. All you need to remember is that when something does not fit your theory all you need to do is to add more dimensions. It is a very seductive theory. People who can converse in these terms feel very good about them selves. I am told.
