he was probably tired of people who only like the Saints because of Reggie Bush
and people who have always "been Saint fans" but never once mentioned it until now

Well, they fired him because they've already got 2 rookies from 2006 and another young receiver from 2004 draft who play great. Joe had to leave if he wanted to start in 2007, with the Falcons he should be their #1 or 2 receiver in 2007. This is Vick's make or break year...don't we say that every year, unlikely he'll improve much as a passer this year.

joe left because he would not renegotiate his contract. with him missing the second half of last year, his age, and the emergence of colston and henderson he was not going to be a key player in the off., so the saints rightly decided that joe was not going to be worth the money. joe took that as a insult so he is no longer here.
