Astronomy is a science of the stars.
http://www.kidsastronomy.com/
Astronomy is the science of celestial objects (such as stars, planets, comets, and galaxies) and phenomena that originate outside the Earth's atmosphere (such as auroras and cosmic background radiation). It is concerned with the evolution, physics, chemistry, meteorology, and motion of celestial objects, as well as the formation and development of the universe. The word astronomy literally means "law of the stars" and is derived from the Greek αστρονομία, astronomia, from the words άστρον (astron, "stars") and νόμος (nomos, "law").
Astronomy is one of the oldest sciences. Astronomers of early civilizations performed methodical observations of the night sky, and astronomical artifacts have been found from much earlier periods. However, the invention of the telescope was required before astronomy was able to develop into a modern science.

Astrology is for horoscopes and such
Astrology is a group of systems, traditions, and beliefs in which knowledge of the relative positions of celestial bodies and related details is held to be useful in understanding, interpreting, and organizing information about personality, human affairs, and other terrestrial matters. A practitioner of astrology is called an astrologer, or, less often, an astrologist. Historically, the term mathematicus was used to denote a person proficient in astrology, astronomy, and mathematics.[1]
Although the two fields share a common origin, modern astronomy is entirely distinct from astrology. Astronomy is the scientific study of astronomical objects and phenomena, whereas astrology is concerned with the attempt to correlate these phenomena with earthly affairs.[2][3] Astrology is variously considered by its proponents to be a symbolic language,[4][5] a form of art,[6] science,[6] or divination.[2][7] The scientific community generally considers astrology to be a pseudoscienceor superstition as astrologers have failed empirical tests in controlled studies. Despite the lack of scientific evidence, belief in astrology is widespread. [
The word astrology is derived from the Greek αστρολογία, from άστηρ (aster, "star") and λόγος (logos, "speech, statement, reason"). The -λογία suffix is written in English as -logy, "study" or "discipline

Astronomy is the scientific study of the planets, stars, asteroids, and other celestial bodies that have been discovered, or are being discovered.
Astrology promotes the effects that celestial bodies and their positions have on human beings and events. Astrology is not a "science"; and, is not considered as a subject worthy of being included in the public education system.
I'm sure there is some college or university within the 50 states of the United States offerring astrology classes, and I'm sure a person taking such would be given college credit from that institution. Transferable credit? Maybe not. Credit toward a specific degree? Maybe not.
Astrology is an intriguing subject, though, and just because you can't get a degree in it doesn't denigrate your desire to pursue the subject.

Astrology is more like a a mythology class or theology class, its not actually a science. If you're intrested in the stars, Astronomy would be the best choice of science classes for you. But if you're looking for meaning in the stars, you can find a lot of books and websites with information on that. Try a mythology class, lots of schools offer Greek/Roman/Pagan mythology and you would probably enjoy it.

Astrology is considered a psuedo-science because it's based on mathematical calculations, but because it's main concept is based on interpretation and not fact, it's not a true science, like they teach in school. There are places that teach astrology courses. Search online.
