Well for me,i never buy softwares off the shelf cuz they are extrememly expensive especially for a norton anti virus. What i do is i get someone i know who works in an Education institutue of a computer company and they are usually able to get me a coperate version or a student version or sometimes even the exact same original software u find in stores only way cheaper!. Cheers.

No, all of Norton´s products are pure junk, resource hogs and fail to find any viruses. Plus when you try and uninstall the program you are left with over 375 fragments glued to all of your files, hidden all over your system. You will play living hell trying to find these fragments as they cause alot of system trouble.
You can download AVG FREE Antivirus program from:
http://www.grisoft.com Look for their free home for personal use.
The experts have tested this software and rate it at the top in virus detections. Plus you get auto updates.
What is really nice is that little or no resources are used.

Norton is the worst piece of bloatware that most virus writers can beat with their eyes closed. Use any one of the free alternatives you'll actually catch more viruses and won't slow down your computer.

It is if you buy it on sale. I think its on sale for like $20 at Best Buy this week. It is on sale alot and you can get for cheap if you know when and where to buy it. Always a good idea to have a virus protector, or you could them annoying and dangerous trojans and other viruses that capture data, like credit card numbers if you ever buy stuff online, and send it back to the host or delete your computer data.

Not really. It lags your system and is not very good. Try Kaspersky or Trend Micro.
