Spikes for jumping..... i am in polevault and i got these http://www.footlocker.com/catalog/productdetail/cm--Outlet%3A%20Sport%3A%20TrackFieldXC/supercat--outlet/model--56448~5560149/mvpid--prod_tp~35002116/sport--all/ they look weird but they are really good... take off the laces when you use it though..... but you have to get the techique down too! GOOD LUCK!!

any track shoe will do really. form plays 100x more of a role than the shoes. many pole vaulters dont even get to top speed when they run, its more of a controlled 3/4 speed run.
