I want to believe. Whether or not there is still one in the loch is a good question. Based on the fairly recent discovery of the Coelacanth, purportedly an extinct pre-historic creature, I would have a tendency to be less skeptical about such a being existing in the murky deeps of the world.

No.
There is no evidence. I am under the impression that if Nessie existed, it would be not alone. It would have a mate, children, and so on. Someone would catch one of them in a net, or find a nest of the eggs, or something.
Also, I find it extremely difficult to believe that a big animal like that, especially if it was active (which I believe it must be in order to feed itself in a lake of that nature), could live continually underwater. It would need to come up for air a lot. Keep in mind that we just cannot be talking about one creature. Imagine little Nessies coming up for air, or just to the surface to have a look around. Who is going to miss that?
Of course, this is just a personal belief. I will change it if necessary, if evidence comes up.

Yes. It is believed that Nessie is a large eel or a family of large eels.
Last year they found a tooth at the edge of the loch embedded in a dead deer.

It doesn't. It did at some point, probably when the monks fed it, which is recorded in records or something like that, but not today. It exists because some believe in it so much that their brain shows it to them. Psychological stuff is crazy strange.

No. It's a small enough place that I think they would have found a body washed up on the beach by now, as they have with the giant squid. Also, technology is so advanced now that they could find it with an unmanned sub, but they don't want to do that. Know why? Tourism.....money.

Well, let's put it this way. If enough people have faith in anything it becomes plausible.
I truly find it implausible that so many who use faith to excuse lack of hard evidence on their religion will turn away from Nessie though faith is what keeps Nessie alive.
