Idaho and Oklahoma are the only states that still legally allow death by firing squad for those who are to be executed. Utaj banned it some years ago and Utah conducted the last execution by firing squad in the United States around 1995. Five to seven men line up and shoot at the inmate who was restrained. They would all aim for teh chest/heart and some would shoot blanks.

i have self belief there are in reality 2 states that still employ the alternative of a firing squad. even as someone chooses this determination, they are led into an empty room. they are placed right into a chair and certain so that you won't be able to flow. each and each of the governmentstuff like very last words is treated. once the prisoner is certain, a hood is positioned over his head and a objective is positioned over his heart. Then between 4-6 volunteer penitentiary guards enter a seperate room. There are rifles that are already loaded for them, a million of the rifles will be loaded with a clean, so as no protect can say for particular in the journey that they fired a "kill shot." Then slots open up so the guards can stick their guns through and objective on the prisoner. each and each of the guards line up their guns on the objective and once given the order hearth their guns into the prisoners heart. that is how a fireing squad in a penitentiary is going.

The firing squad shoots at the convict until he/she is pronounced deceased.

The firing squad is no longer used in the U.S. I believe only Utah still executes by firing squad, optional.

Members of the firing squad draw magazines with a combination of bullets and blanks. That way, nobody knows who delivered the fatal shot, so there is no individual self-blame.

After several salvos, the squad leader approaches the convict and administers the 'coup de grace', a shot to the head.

Hope this helps....

It's very cool actually. The firing squad has about 12 people on it. Only one gun has the bullet that will kill the individual however none of them know which one it is; the others contain blanks. Only three states still use the firing squad, Utah, Oklahoma and Idaho.

This method isn't use for death row inmates anymore. However, when it was there were several men with guns lined in front of the prisoner. They all fired at the same time but only one man had an actual live round. No one knew who, so no one knew who actually shot the prisoner.

It is a group of 6 or 8 corrections officers who shoot and kill a person as capital punishment. One blank is used but it is unknown who has it. This is so no one knows who fired the lethal shot. Blindfolds may also be used to prevent knowledge of who fired the lethal shot.

If it's an execution, the firing squad shoots the inmate until he is dead.

Thanks for asking!

Usually it is made up of several people with one or two live rounds and the rest are blanks. This allows all members to not know if they fired the real bullet for sure.

A firing squad means that they are lined up and shot.
