The problem you're getting is due to QuickTime and iTunes still having remnants within the system registry. To get rid of them you need to click on Start (bottom left of your desktop), and then click on Run.

Type 'regedit' (without the inverted commas)

Click on the + sign next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER, and then the same again where it says Software.

Where it says Apple Computer, Inc. in the left hand window, right click on it and select delete.

Do the same with HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, Software > Apple Computer, Inc.

Reboot your computer, and you should be alright to reinstall both programs.

Do be warned, however, that making changes to the system registry can muck your machine right up if you delete the wrong things. Make sure you only delete what I've told you to.

the first thing is to spybot your computer then do a antivirus check but do the antivirus check in safe mode it could be spyware or a virus causing your problem.doing a system restore will not get rid of viruses or spyware.hope this helps
