to get sea monkeys? how real is that? I only made a sock monkey and was going to buy the sea monkey add water only kit but my parents wouldn't let me (i was a kid okay?) so tell me of either or both. thanks.

I've never made a sock monkey, but they are very cute!! I've seen them on tv and stuff, they crack me up.
Sea monkeys are bizzare, i went to a friends house and they have sea monkeys. on the side of the tank theres little magnifying bits, and in the kit you get a magnafying glass. She was looking through the magnified bit on the tank, and through the glass, and she swore they were staring back at her when she was staring at them. My other friend also noticed the same thing.
They are very strange strange creatures.

Ok, don't know about the sock monkey but my sons got a sea monkey kit and grew them successfully having sea monkeys swimming about. They lasted for a couple of months. Hint, they are brine shrimp. Had to use bottled water and special food that comes in the kit.

YAY! this is my favorite question ever! No i have never made a sock monkey, but i need to this weekend. AND yes i did have sea monkeys like 8 years ago i was like 5 or sumthing, but i dont remember. Ive always wanted to buy them again but i didnt know if they were "true" or whatever haha.

Yes,the sea monkeys are actually little shrimp of some sort.They didn't stay alive very long.Yes I made a sock monkey for my kids when they were little.

I made my parents send away for sea monkeys in the mail when I was a kid. I was so disappointed when they hatched because the pictures made them look like tiny little people swimming around and they were really like little brine shrimp. One of my biggest childhood disappointments, but a good lesson. Wow, what a blast from the past!

oh sea monkeys!! I had them when I was a kid! Kinda sucked to find out they were just brine shrimp and looked nothing like the picture in the ad!

My mother made me two of those sock monkeys when I was a baby, I STILL have them to this day, they are 49 years old!!

sea monkeys are just some small crustaceans. they are not related to monkeys, dont look like monkeys and dont eat bananas.
They suck and will not bring you any thing like the joy of your sock monkey.

DO NOT BUY SEA MONKEYS!!!!
They are actually parasites that if exposed to high temperatures and fed after midnight will escape from their watery prisons and reek bloody havoc on your neighborhood.
