What til the draft and see. There's still time in this offseason. So far I like the teams that sat tight. I don't think this crop of free agents were that great and teams over-spent. There'll still be draft day trades and the draft itself. Then we can speculate.

I see the people didn't answer the question...they answered "Which teams have made the most high-profile moves so far" not whose made the best moves so far. As frightening as it is for me to admit, I do think the Patriots and Jests have done well for themselves thus far....and the Carp signed yet another over-the-hill vet for their defense. Woohoo. But the Bills certainly did well...can't go wrong signing decent linemen, nor can you go wrong trading a mediocre and disaffected back...but this question is being asked too early...

49ers and patriots did the best. miami and broncos did well also.
9ers overpaid for clements yes i agree, but their defense has improved a lot. clements, michael lewis, keith lewis, pro bowler walt harris, and shawntae spencer in the backfield. not the best, but pretty decent. we added banta cain who is a great pass rusher which is something the 9ers never had. we have 8 draft picks and our offense will be better with a healthy vernon davis and improved alex smith and motivated frank gore.
pats got adalius thomas, which was a great move, the best LB in FA clearly. if the pats get a good WR, they will be SB contenders again.
broncos added henry and bly. henry will get at least 1200 rush yards and can you imagine this backfield? bailey, lynch, and bly? thats a pro bowl backfield there.
miami got porter, can you imagine taylor and porter? scary stuff if youre a QB.

I would have to say Denver. (1) They finally got rid of Plummer for a draft pick for pretty much nothing. He ended up leaving the game we got rid of his contract. (2) They traded for Dre Bly one of the better corners in the game. And only gave up T. Bell who does have talent but if you cant hold onto the ball, injury prone and fall with every touch you wont last long in the league, foster great talent however with denvers zone blocking style you dont need a high profile lineman..however they pick up adam meadows last year. If all fails with that trade Den and Was are in talks about Bly for the #6 pick in the draft. (3) they picked a Travis Henry Look at his last years #'s with Tenn Almost double that in Denver Off, No Brainer top 5 back this year. (4) Got Dan Wilkinson to beef up the line to keep bodies off the LB's. (5) as of today they signed TE Daniel Graham...Nuff Said

patriots and 49ers did best. 49ers overpaid but the fact is that they drastically improved their defense, especially their secondary. and they had money to spend and spent it exactly how they should have. patriots had a solid year last year, despite having numerous holes in their lineup. the are the class act of the nfl in terms of doing it right and getting to the superbowl, whether its breeding no-names into superstars(first couple SB wins) or spending the bucks to push their teams talent level over the top (dillons first year with pats and this year) they knew their weaknesses and did the best job they could to improve at those positions. cowboys did the worst.
