Let your teacher know that you are battling a cold and you are taking meds for it. Teachers aren't as hard as they look. She may let you sleep for a little while if she understands. If the cold is too severe PLEASE stay home. No need in passing it around.

Since this question mentions school, have you asked the school nurse? You could tell her the benadryl and sudafed make you drowsy and you fall asleep in class. That's motivation enough for her to suggest something else! I have a feeling that the cold will get better in its own time but in the meantime, you could take a benadryl before sleeping at night and go to bed really early. At least then you will be rested when you get to school. Good luck!

Don't take before class. Take some Nyquil or alka seltzer cold plus before bed. If you are still stuffy in the morning, take a non-drowsy formula. You don't want your teachers and friends thinking you are a dope fiend or on drugs do you?

Maybe take a dayquil instead.
OR drink a red bull after you take that sudafed.

DO NOT follow the advice of the person who said to mix Red Bull and Sudafed...that is a potentially dangerous mix.
Please, for your sake as much as for your fellow students', stay home when you are sick. Your body needs to rest and fight off your illness.

I know what you mean! Well I like to take DayQuil because it is specially made to keep you going during the day. It works for me and even the weakest medicines used to make me drowzy. Hope it helps!

You need to take meds that your parents are ok with and I am sure they wouldn't want you taking something that is going to affect your school work. If you are feeling bad enough that the meds aren't helping then maybe it is something a doctor needs to take care of.
Feel better soon.
