So far nothing! They offered apologies to the people who had been cheated & promised to look into the problems. The committe looking into the problem has said that they will give them time to correct the problems & if not changed soon, Congress will look into the matter.
You can bet that nothing will change all that much, you will still be charged usuary rates for your credit card bills & they will find ways to make you pay through the teeth each time you use the cards. No one in government will do anything of importance.

Your Congress has failed to regulate them. When the Federal Courts ruled that they were regulated by the state the bank is located in they thought congress would regulate them. So far there haven't been ANY Honest Congressmen from either party who are willing to stop taking bribes from the banks

they're allowed to penalize people by upping interest rates based on another credit card payment...not even THAT credit card. it's scandalous! then they apply your payments to the lowest interest debt first so you pay on the 21% for the rest of your life! sick
