well. both of my animals had flees over the summer. & they were treated. i was wondering if anyone knew when i should start treating them again, so they don't get them.

You have to treat the carpet, bedding, especially the yard and any other animal. Flea eggs live for years. You need to put that stuff on their back at the first sign, or use it all the time.

Fleas are picked up from the outdoors, other animals, infested furniture you get the picture. The best time for most animals is in the early spring which correlates with the waking from the winter dormancy by the fleas.

I use cedar chips in my dog beds and I on a weekly basis rub them down with cedar bark, and my house and cats and dogs are flea free, ( I live in a cedar bush) I only do this in spring to fall months.
