Question

a woman of mass 65kg is trying to rescue a man of mass 80kg who has fallen over the cliff's edge. The woman is standing on a horizontal frictionless surface 15 metres from the edge of the cliff. dtermine how long it will take before the woman reaches the edge of the cliff, starting from rest
the answer is 2.4 seconds

Are u sure of the answer?
The force on the woman would be 80*10 = 800N
and the acceleration of the woman would be 800/65 = 160/13 m/s^2
S = (1/2)*a*t^2
=> t^2 = sqrt(2S/a) = sqrt( (13/160) * 2 * 15 ) = sqrt( 2.4375 ) = 1.531s
