A nice two piece dress for my date. She wants as short a skirt as possible.

skirts aren't really that great for a prom. if she wants to wear a dress that goes up to her knees, that's fine. but it's a formal event. anything higher than her knees would be inappropriate and people would think she was only there to get negative attention.

Not really, unless it's part of a formal dress ensemble. Since proms are considered formal dances, she should wear an evening gown of some sort, just like you would wear a tux. She could however save the short skirt for the after-prom party, which tend to be more relaxed anyway.

no it is not okay to wear skirts at prom because it take the elegantness of that beautiful glorious night. she can wear short dress but wearing skirt will be too casual, definetly not suitable for prom!

no, it looks cheesy...prom is supposed to be classy and grown up, not dressed down in a short skirt

I also agree, with the others. a short screams sloppy. Go for a more sophisticated put together look. its her time to look like a princess.

i dont think so... it looks better, (and prettier) In a dress!! SHORT SKIRTS TEND TO LOOK SLOPPY!!!
