I took plan b contraception...but i only took one pill... will it still work? i took the first one about 2 days after unprotected sex

Unless you take the full course of pills then it will not be effective.

This is not to say that you will get pregnant however.

It is worth noting that just taking the one pill may have been enough to disrupt your normal cycle, so you may be late - this does not mean you are pregnant either

It's best not to have intercourse again until you have a period, just to be sure, however if you are anxious about it and your period hasn't shown up in 2 - weeks you may want to visit your doctor for a blood test.

Plan b is only 89% effective if taken properly.

I suppose it likely did decrease your risk a little, but you won't be anywhere near as effective as if you had taken it properly.

btw... plan b is really intended for people that had accidental breakages or were raped. It ISN"T an appropriate form of birth control.

well I will say it is pretty effective. I would just tell you that you still have a small chance that you might be preg. ( VERY SMALL)
