It is just the way they are. They can't help it.

I resist all unconstitutional change. If you want to change the constitution do it the proper way, amend it. You cannot just ignore it or get some judge to say it means something other than what is says. The Federal Government has no business involving itself in education, or healthcare and especially religion. Our Constitution specifically states that any rights not spelled out in the constitution as being the job of the Federal Government are not the job of the Federal Government. They are the job of the State Governments or the people directly.

To do otherwise is not constitutional.

No, we do not need forward progress if that progress is unconstitutional.

Republican's aren't against change... Republicans are against the government being responsible for that change. Let's take a look at the things you listed:

Education... Why is it that private schools always fare so much better when it comes to tests, and grades, and turning out more knowledgeable people? Republican's believe it has a lot to do with the fact that the government is not responsible for the curriculum. Leave the government out, and good old fashioned competition makes things much better.

Healthcare... I would say this is pretty much the same thing. Socialism has not worked anywhere, ever! Socializing healthcare is about the stupidest thing the government could do. If you don't believe me, get a semi-serious problem in Canada, and see how long it takes to see a doctor. You'll probably die in the process.

Religion... It's not up to the government to change religion, it's up to the religion to change religion. But most religions are pretty set in stone. I'm not sure where this came from, but it really has nothing to do with politics (unless I'm missing something).

It depends on the changes to which you are referring. If you are talking about banning all references to God in the public square, you're right I'm against that. If you are talking about turning our health care system into socialized medicine ala Canada, again you would be correct I'm against that. If you are saying we should change education to lower the bar, throw more money at it and keep kids in FAILING schools once more I'm against that. Now if you want to change education into a system that allows parents to choose the right school/teachers, yes let's do that! If you want to find a way to bring down the price of prescription drugs, ok let's give it a shot. If you are for keeping the religious TRADITIONS our country was built on, thereby changing the current trend of throwing our heritage out the window than please have at it!

by change you mean kids actually being able to spell their names without the aid of their drivers licenses? I would love it. Money won't fix that. Religion is a personal choice, what needs changed there. I will not pay for anyone else health care and the VA has shown what a great job the government does in that arena. So what forward progress are you recommending? I want to go forward where kids actually learn and teachers are able to teach then. I will not go backwards and that is where the liberals want to take us.

Actually, being intolorant to change is not the sole property of the Republican party. It is human nature to abhor change and if you studied the human mind you would know this. Same story, different administration. Just because they have been in power your whole life doesn't mean they are the bad guys.

I just don't like to see America to continue to deteriorate at my cost. I don't want to pay for the education of a dipshit kid who doesn't want it or understand the usefulness of it. Furthermore, I don't want to pay for healthcare for those who don't deserve it. First, I need to be able to afford my own health insurance before I pay someone else's. As for religion, still got to have something to give moral relevance to life. I honestly doubt America would be so good without religion.

Because Liberal foward progress has bought us to this point. How much more change for the worse do you want?
More teen pregnancy
More welfare
More crime with no punishment
More taxes
More illiteracy
When has letting the Government run anything ever worked?

Republican wish time had stopped in 1840 or even the Dark Ages. Much of progress/science is a threat to Christianity and so Republicans don't like it very much. Stem cells, birth control, the abortion pill, evolution, etc...these are all threats to the Republican way of life and they will fight it to the death if they have too.

democrats have dragged eduction in the gutter. Republicans are for vouchers and accountability. America has the best health care in the World. Religion is what it is. It's not there to conform to your depravity.
