I can prove my state residency up to 5/1/06.If I don't prove an additional 2 months of residency so that It reads as one year [3/1/06] as an state resident I will lose my scholarship on that bacis.I work a minimum wage job and will otherwise be unable to afford the extra tuition fees. Please give me any Ideas or suggestions, but save any selfrighteous rhetoric as I am guilty of wanting an education..not a crime.Furthermore I deserve it since I have been to hell and back in my young life and shouldnt lose it based on a technicality of 2 months thank you very much.

Sorry to disappoint you but State funds offered for college is for STATE RESIDENTS...not for someone who just moved there.

You are not the only one with a "hell and back" life....that is no reason to bend the rules just for you.

I'm not sure about the answer to your question, but have you explored other routes?
If you do lose the scholarship, I'm wondering if you might be eligible for other need-based financial aid. The federal government has money, as do many states, and possibly the school. If your grades are high, some schools might be able to give you a teaching assistantship, which includes a stipend and a tuition waiver for 3-6 credits.
One thing I did when money ran low was drop my course load to part-time and work more hours. That, of course reduced some of my financial aid, but I made up for it with more income from my job.
You might be able to find a job that pays more than minimum wage (waiting tables, bartending, etc.) At one point in my college career, I was working 3 jobs during the summer-one at a resort, another painting, and another at the local Burger King. After a while, I didn't know what day it was! I also lived on Ramen Noodles, hot dogs, and lots of fresh, cheap produce! The Salvation Army up the street was where I bought clothes!

Good luck!
