never heard of a kangaro snakes or an animal in Australia with a mane. Except brumbys (wild horse) which are not native.
But I think the answer you are looking for is Kangaroo's, we have a lot of snakes but there are so many Kangaroo's we have to employ people to shoot half of them dead.

The kangaroo and koala bear. But there are also the duck-billed platypus, wallaby, the enchidna family (they are like anteaters).
