What makes something "high fashion?" Isn't that determined by who is designing the clothes? In case you've forgotten, Target's main clothing line is designed by Isaac Mizrahi, an extremely successful designer who creates couture, ready-to-wear, and a household line. Target also has at least two guest designers a year design a limited edition line to be sold in stores and online. Just because something is moderately priced doesn't automatically make it out of date or tacky. Designers work hard to make affordable ready-to-wear lines. Target is merely marketing their product as what it is- affordable current fashion.

SIMPLE think about who theyre trying to attract.... walmart aims at the lower income to middle income americans, so you know taget is shooting or trying to, aim for the middle and higher americans, and sadly they have either the same stuff or less than walmart. but its higher priced, so they do attract that crowd.

Well a lot of stores do that because they want to sell their products instead of the product falling through because no people will buy them!!!
