I feed my turtle and he will not eat it so when I went to leave to go to the bus stop I looked from the window out side and he was eating

Turtles are usually shy eaters. While they are eating they are vunerable because their eyes are on their food. What you can do is walk away and hide behind a chair- they are easy to fool.

Tell the turtle it has nice flappers and then make another joke, then maybe it will be less shy.

You don't say what type of turtle you have , dangle a worm in front of it ,and you will have it eating from your hand.

let him adjust to his enviorment. it's not like you bought him to see him eat, right? he'll get used to you, and will eat comfortably in front of you. until then, don't break his trust, and keep him nice and comfy.

leave the food near him then leave him alone because he is shy

just give it his fopod and go away and he will eat it maybe you can watch him more and more everyday and he might get used to it
