i went to their home game last night as a devils fan..and i was making more noise than the arena. Really i was so amazed at how silent it was..even at regular kid hockey games its louder. And then me and my friend started laughing because they were showing a retired philly player talking about how ""intense"" the fans were..and there was a decent amount of people for them to make noise (besides when they got a goal or won the game)

i know theyre last in the league..but c'mon..that was pathetic..i'll give credit to a couple guys yelling "LETS GO FLYERS" but shame on all the other fans.

no i swear. There were LARGE periods of time where it was dead silent. When they got a goal they were pretty loud..but for the rest of the game where nothing really happened..silence..i tried listening to see if people were yelling..nothing.

Because the Flyers suck so bad, that they even suck the sound out of their own arena.

It began to be that way back in the early 80's after the warm and fuzzy feelings of two Stanley Cup championships wore off.

Once they moved into the "Wacho" Center and priced us hard-core hockey fans out of contention for season tickets, it got quieter so the entertainment fans could call their friends on their cell phones.

All I'm saying is that the newer fans werent there when the Flyers won the cup and are barely there for a hockey game.

Good luck to the Devils and the greatest goaltender hockey has ever known.

Tough to be loud when your watching bad hockey,I'm not a fan of either team but as a devils fan you shouldn't be so proud. When the Bruins played them 4 years ago in the playoffs we looked on line through ticketmaster not even a broker and could have gotten just about as many tickets to that playoff game as we wanted, pretty sad when you cant sell out a playoff game as defending champions.

Sorry, but not a whole lot to cheer about this season in Philly. Give it a couple years after the rebuidling, assuming Bobby Clarke doesn't get to help in the rebuilding.

well i feel bad for the team and like any other team from any other sport you get great fans from winning teams.. every team has their diehard fans but when the team is winning the fans start coming out again..... and i disagree with the lot of you on which place makes the most noise ... come to montreal and judge for yourself just the standing ovations alone would make you cry

and no one really cares about that team

First of all devils are awsome. And the reason no one is loud is becuase the flyers suck and no one really finds the point to cheer becuase they are going to lose anyways.
