I am grateful to know that your Mom attempted to intervene on your behalf although it concerns me that your dad could not see how hurtful his actions are. For this current month, it might be best just to hang out in your room when your dad's home. Once you're through with your period maybe you could find a time or maybe an activity where you and your dad could have a heart to heart talk. Let him know, first, how much he means to you and share some ways that he is an important person in your life- -perhaps coaching you or being good @ algebra homework help--you get the picture. But then, without anger, share how it makes you feel when he behaves in such a way that you feel emotionally hurt and "picked on". Although I'm not at all making excuses for him, I sincerely wonder if it's just hard for him to know his little girl is growing up. Some parents seem to struggle with it and don't seem to handle their emotions very well. I am hopeful, sweetheart, that a calm and honest conversation may help open your dad's eyes so he can begin to treat you as the treasure you are. Take care.

don't let them know it's that time of the month...unless they know your monthly schedule which is kind of annoying!
