So like when u commit a traffice offence, and the police asks 'macam mana boleh tolong?'
What is the lowest amunt you can offer to them? And what are the trick and cheats to give them to lower the amount even more?

Actually, the question was irony and sarcasm targetted at people who bribe, and those who accept bribes.
But like zero said. Sometimes, v make small mistakes but is still an offence. It would be too expensive to pay 300 for it.
Like azayi said, yes we should honestly admit to our own faults. IF I picked up the phone while driving, and got fined, yes I would be glad to pay. As I know it is dangerous, both to me and to other road users.
On the other hand, if I was caught without seat belt for going to the nearby roti store in the middle of the night driving slowly... it would be a bit too much?
I guess its a moral issue both for the road users and the police. like the chicken and egg question, they accept bribe so we bribe? or we bribe them so they accept?
Lastly, I really dont know how this can be linked to road bullying. Was it my question wasnt clear enough the 1st time, or my lack of understanding to the term road bully(as i can only imagine ppl being hostile to other ppl)?

PETALING JAYA: Bribery Malaysia bourse extended its rebound yesterday as institutional road offenders nibbled at index-linked counters that had fallen victim to the recent Ops Sikap and Ops Sikal.
The benchmark Kuala Lumpur Bribery Index (KLBI) spiked up to an intra-day high of 1,170 points in the first trading hour. It finished 25.6 points, or 2.3%, higher at 1,156.6.
The local bourse ended among the best performing markets in the Asia-Pacific yesterday after Shenzhen and the Philippines.
Counters that led the KLBI's rebound were ‘No Driving Licence’, which rose 40 sen to RM9.25, ‘Speeding Above 110 km/h’ which gained 70 sen to RM18.40 and ‘Not Stop on Red Light’ which jumped RM1 to RM17.
-edit-
it's a joke above.

Nobody likes to bribe. But isnt this the custom in malaysia, either you pay the government which u dont know where the money ended up anyway, not that we are getting quality road, on top of that u have to queue to pay or you give it to the skinny police and quickly end it there.
Ok this is how:
1. the trick is, quickly take out all your money and stashed it in your back pocket. Leave only 20 or 30 inside. Then u showed him that u only have that much.
2. Use outstation plate number. If u are in KL, switch to Ipoh plate or something. So when they stop u, say that u are not familiar with the KL confusing road and ask for leniency.
3. Say u rushed coz u are genuinely having stomach problem and need to get to the loo quickly otherwise u will soil the car seat.

Go and "HANG" yourself at the tallest tree.
Are you nut, asking this kind of question on the net.
Give the policeman a break will you. Do yourself a favour, go outside and just stand at a traffic light on a busy street for an hour and then ask yourself if you have any pitty for those "GENTELMAN". Not all policeman are like that da. They are also hard working profisanal like we all are. So dont you dare try to bring thier moral down just cause 1 out of 10 policeman had ask for a bribe.

There is really no tricks and cheats to bribe. Eventhough we know bribery is wrong but people still do it because let's face it: would you have rather paid RM300 for an offence or just RM20-50 to be let off the hook? That is why bribery will never cease but should not be encouraged as well. But that is just life. I agreed with Piper's answer. At least that's what I have been doing.

It pretty much depends on the season and mood of these officers. Most of them take 50 bucks off your ticket but a little begging on your side can bring it down to 10 bucks 'teh tarik/kopi'.
Oh, not to forget, your car has a 'price stamp' on it, which means if you drive a BMW or a Mercedes, forget about the 10 bucks, a minimal RM 50 is reasonable.
Lastly, you might want to say that your dad is ASP Ahmad from Bukit Aman... you might just get off for free...

Have you ever suspect that the police themselves are out to catch those who bribe them??
Instead of getting away with a fine, you might be slapped with a fine for the offence you committed and a fine for bribe too...

I love this topic. Bribery is everywhere in Malaysia. It's an epidemic, a plague that is costing Malaysians their right to progress. Actually, the police will very directly tell you how much they are expecting, they'll say "rm50 saja, saman lagi mahal, saya mau tolong saja"... so, depending on the offence, but still it's a summon, at a discounted price!

It really depends. It can go as low as RM20 i guess. U can even get away with it when they have too many traffic offenders lining up behind u when you can't bribe them fast enough. hahaha! If you look like a student, you could pretend you hardly have enough cash to spare. Or show them your empty wallet...
