ten minute breaks every 2 hours of work. lunch break required (unpaid) for full time employees. You can file a greivance with your state labor commissioner or feds. If you currently recieve more than the legal minimum time but want to prevent the change, draw up a petition and have each employee sign it. state in the petition an acceptable plan supported by the staff. also state that the staff may strike if a less acceptable plan is adopted. the agreement will be enforceable by the courts if your employer should ever try to break the agreement. the agreement is a labor agreement, just like a union.

I believe that it is the law to provide employees with a 15 minute break for every 4 hours worked and at least 1/2 hr lunch break unpaid.

It all depends on what state you live in. It is a moral responsibility to let employees go to the bathroom when they need to, especially women. Employers are required to give employees a certain amount of time for lunch.

i believe it is for every 4 hours you work you have to have 15min.8hours and up at least a 1/2 hour for lunch unpaid.it is a fed law .it shouldn't matter whether or not your union they have to give you your breaks .as far as bathroom breaks that is what your 15 is for.report him to the labor board and have more than one person do it.

I've got a better idea. why dont we have an ignorance law. When people start talk bollocks, they get charged on the spot by special ignorance police ( It would create more jobs which also makes it economically freindly ).

Contrary to popular MYTH, there is NO US Federal law mandating breaks on ANY kind. Some state do have such laws, but the vary too much to mention without knowing your state.
