where 300 Greek warriors from Sparta managed to delay the 60,000-strong Persian invading army. Historically, the Spartan army was made up in part by soldiers bound romantically to other soldiers fighting on the same battlefield.

As in many other historic films especially those about the ancient world or heroic warriors and there gay history has been erased from 300 and replaced with negative stereotypes. From Troy to Spartacus to Ben Hur, queer history is usually downplayed and has often gone missing entirely.

in the 2004 film Troy, starring Brad Pitt, Achilles and Patroclus were demoted from lovers to mere cousins. No doubt warriors usually become mad with grief every time one of their cousins is killed, as Achilles did when Patroclus was slain by the Trojan warrior Hector
We talk about our population having 5% or 8% of the people with homosexual tendencies. At one time in Sparta the men were 100% homosexual/bisexual

Yes, all of these had minute *mo* references but what is your question? I always thought wrestling had the same tendencies too.

I really don't know what your question is, but it's true that homosexuality was common, accepted and not considered abnormal by the ancient Greeks. It's also true this has been ignored in the movies, probably because of the egos of the movie stars and because the producers wanted a wider audience for their films.

ok, specific, I even have heard all of that until now. i recognize that to the classic international being bisexual/gay for a guy became into usual. yet what's your question? Are you questioning why they take the homosexuality off the movies? if it particularly is so then i think of there could be 3 motives a million they don't recognize lots with regard to the previous, 2 they are not beneficial sufficient in there action picture to place gay love thoughts interior the action picture or 3 they think of that their action picture star actors is easily not as much as the project. that's what i think of the respond is to the question i think of you asked.

Maybe that is why there were only 300 of them. I do get your point though. Mainstream movies downplay it because it doesn't do anything to help the plot of the movie. By the way, all movies change the real story to suit the needs of who is making the movie.
