the musical is about a man named Joe Boyd who sells his soul to Mr. Applegate (the devil) for a chance to play for his favorite baseball team the Washington Senators, and becomes a 22 year old sports superstar who can only save his soul by going back to his wife before 9 pm on the final game day. If he doesn't Mr. Applegate gets his soul. It's called "Damn Yankees!" because until Boyd makes his deal with Applegate the Senators are one of the worst teams in the league and they always lose to their arch rivals the Yankees

It's about the old Washington Senators baseball team, who used to get crushed every year. It's about a guy who wishes that, just ONCE, the Senators could outfinish the all-powerful New York Yankees. Next thing you know, the devil pops up, and offers the guy a chance to be the Senators' star player...in return for his soul.
It's fun stuff.

It's about the baseball player "Shoeless Joe" (from Hannibal, MO...)
He is an old man who sold his soul to become young again and join his fav. baseball team to beat the Yankees. The Devil wants to keep his soul, so he sends in homewrecker "Lola" to make Joe fall in love with her.
