I know what your saying. i havent been a big mcr fan for years during bullets( even though ive discovered more songs today)i didnt listen that much, but more for 3 cheers and the blk parade. truth is i saw the blak parade album in the store and i was like this band is good lemme buy the cd. i ended up liking it so much i wanted to buy 3 cheers. of course i new helena, you know what they do,im not okay, the ghost of you etc but i wanted to be more of a devoted fan. cus their music was great along with the lrycis and his voice.So i knew about mcr for a long time but till like last year i havent been a big fan.ALl their music from when they started is great! but the annoying part isnt new fans, becuase thats good. the anoying part is people who ACT like they've been big fans for years.

When I went to see MCR on 2/24/07, Gerard said to embrace all new fans because, the band hates elitests (people who think they are better than you because they've liked them longer). So I obey, not that I haven't before. I embrace all MCR fans, as long as they are in it for the music, and not what they look like. I don't care if they've been a fan since "Bullets" or they heard famous last words on the radio. The point is that they are interested in the music, they've been touched by the guys. MCR fans are one big family, and families are always growing. I know plenty of people who became fans since TBP and are not poseurs. Poseurs are people who like stuff to fit in and likes things because everyone else does.
I will agree I don't like fan girls who are only concerned with what they look like, and who they are dating. thats not a real fan, and THAT pisses me off.
As long as they in it for the music, they are ok with me.
rockhxc brings up a good point "people who ACT like they've been fans for years" THATS annoying!!

Well, i agree on some of that.I mean, if your a fan of MCR at least know most their music.But i think all older fans should accept of newer fans.There are always going to be new My Chem fans, so the least you can do is be nice and not act as if you're better.
But new fans should definitley go back and listen to MCR's older music, and not just what's playing on the radio.

I've been there since Romance... for all the posers, that's into on I Brought You My Bullets...Welcome to the black parade isn't even one of their best songs, I like Kill all your friends and This is how I disappear...Helena though, is a favorite, so is Demolition lovers and This isn't a fashion statement.

Yes, I hate that.
Not just with MCR, but with any band.
For example, I've been a devoted fan of Evanescence for about 3 years.
And then when Call Me When You're Sober comes around....oh god.

i really do hate them, cause when i'm always talking to em i always ask "whats your favorite song?" and their response is always wttbp. its the only song everyone seems to know. i hate it when people only know the #1 hits, it gets kinda annoying after time.
